40 Hour Famine at Raphael House

Clare Goodman —

The 40 Hour Famine is approaching and fast.

After much debate we, the students of Raphael House, have decided to walk the equivalent length of New Zealand by walking around our school over the course of 40 hours, on the 3 and 4 of July.

The 40 Hour Famine is run by World Vision.  World Vision is a global humanitarian aid and development organisation that provides short-term and long-term assistance to children and families living in poverty.  It's a great way to get students involved important humanitarian work that is happening all over the world from 3 - 4 July and we hope our school can make a difference too.

We are reaching out to you, the wider community to ask you to donate. It doesn't have to be a lot, but a little can go a long way for the kids and families in sub-Saharan Africa.

If you would like to donate the school has a page on the 40 Hour Famine site, just go https://my.worldvision.org.nz/ss/zBhRGk/raphael-house-rudolf-steiner-area-school to donate.
