From time to time, kaiako are absent from School.

When this happens, we endeavour to get relievers who are Steiner trained or who are familiar with Steiner education, however this is not always possible, so relievers will come from a relieving agency.  When kaiako  are away, they provide lesson planning so that disruptions are minimised and learning is able to take place.

As we head into the Winter Terms, it's worth noting when numerous staff are absent and we can not get relievers to cover classes, we may split a class up and have them in different classes.  This only happens as a last resort.
