Kia ora koutou

I'm Fabiana, Kowhai Room’s Kindergarten Teacher.

I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and moved to New Zealand in March 1989… so I’m a regular kiwi but with a strong Spanish accent. I have been part of the Raphael House community ever since my own children started in Kindergarten what seems like yesterday, although my daughter graduated in 2014 and my son in 2018.

It was my children’s own Kindergarten experiences that inspired me to re-train in Early Childhood Teaching at Victoria University. I was part of the Steiner Cottage team before I started in Raphael House.

I’m a keen crafter and I enjoy making the resources for the room but making the birthday presents for the little ones is still one of the highlights of the year. To recharge, I love my long walks around Wellington, so during the weekends you might find me exploring the gorgeous trails.. my favourite so far was the Skyline Walkway!
