As you may have heard, Wellington City Rudolf Steiner Kindergarten's amazing head teacher and center manager Louise is leaving the kindergarten after 20 years to spend time with family and look after her (very lucky!) grandchildren.

Louise has been the backbone of the kindy for so long that it is impossible to imagine things without her. She has worked so hard, always putting what is best for the children and for the kindergarten first, in an increasingly difficult environment for small not-for-profit centers like ours. We will very much miss her kindness, integrity, and humour.

So many families have very special memories of Louise and of their children's time at Thorndon kindy. We would love it if you could join us at a family picnic to farewell and thank her:

• When: 10:30am Sunday, 3 March 2024
• Where: The Dell at the Botanic Gardens (the grassy area behind the Begonia House/cafe).
• Please bring your own picnic morning tea and a blanket.

Please note: If the weather is wet at 8am on Sunday, we will move the picnic to Wellington City Rudolf Steiner Kindergarten: 10 Davis Street, Thorndon.
