Midwinter Festival Schedule

Kia Ora Raphael House Whānau. Please find below the programme for next Thursday’s Midwinter Festival.

Upper School

4.15: Upper School concert in gym

Followed by soup and buns

Lower School

4.30: soup and buns in classrooms

Midwinter Gathering

Upper and Lower school will come together at 5.30.

  • Opening
  • Kapa Haka and Poi
  • Spiral Walk

Class 12 leads the spiral down the driveway to view the class 6,7 and 8 lanterns.

Lower School parents will follow the spiral walkers down the driveway, followed by Class 8 and 12 parents.

Classes 9, 10 and 11 head to classrooms to collect bags and touch base with their parents, then head down the driveway to see the lanterns.

Class 6,7 and 8 will remain on driveway until the last of the community comes through.

Collection of Children

At the end of the night, you can find your children…

Classes 1 and 2: The Heide Werth room (where the parent library is located)

Classes 3 and 4: in the covered space outside the bus garage (building behind Marcelly’s office)

Classes 5-8: in the kindergarten garden.

Classes 9-11: in their classroom, prior to heading down the driveway.

Some additional guidelines:

  • This festival is designed for Class 1 and up. Keep younger siblings at home.
  • An official photographer has been arranged. Please keep phones away and enjoy the experience.
  • Ensure that children are dressed appropriately for cold weather.
