Thank you

Karyn Gray —

Thank yo so much to all the families who managed to keep students in Classes 1-8 home today. This has made a huge difference. We did end up with 14 teachers away today. We have had 5 teachers out with COVID this week and another two in isolation because family members have COVID. We also have Learning Support assistants at home with COVID and in isolation. On top of that we also have other teachers with other sicknesses and then more teachers with their own children sick at home. We are absolutely hoping this was a one-off and will act as a bit of a circuit breaker and we will be back to greater staff strength next week. We are assuming that school is normal on Monday but I will put a Facebook post and send an email confirming this on Sunday afternoon.

My apologies for having to annoy some of you with an extra text this morning but for our own safety assurance if you had not confirmed you were keeping your child at home we needed to check so that we didn't make any assumptions that someone was at home while you were thinking they were at school.

As far as students are concerned we have between 10 and 20 with COVID at the moment and a similar number in isolation.

Again, thank you so much for your support today, we really do appreciate it a lot.
