On Wednesday 8 June, Parliament held its first Sustainability Expo, and our Roots and Shoots / Enviro Club were happy to be in attendance.

We enjoyed checking out all the different stalls, and hearing about all of the amazing and inspirational things people are doing within their communities. Some of our favourites were: Kai cycle – an awesome group providing composting services and running community gardens; RAD (Recycle A Device) – an organisation that fixes your old computers and matches them with people who need them, often schools.

We also enjoyed making bees wax wraps!

We got so many new ideas and look forward to growing our group. If environment and sustainability is something of interest to any our students, come along to our Wednesday lunch time meetings outside the old class 10.
