Brian Paquin

I am the Sports Coordinator at Raphael House.  

I have a long history at Raphael House. I was first a parent here in 1986 and my three children Anna, Katya and Andrew attended Raphael House, back in the day when Raphael House was tiny and ended in Class 7 – we actually nailed up the first basketball hoop in 1986 before any gym or courts were built. I came back as a teacher in 1996 before heading off to England to teach.

I have taught in several schools around Wellington and Levin including Raphael House before retiring and heading off to a lifestyle block outside Levin.

I came back to Raphael House six years ago to do some volunteer coaching and somehow ended up temporarily taking over from Arthur, teaching PE three years ago until I re-retired at the end of last year and continued with being the Sports Coordinator.

I am a regular gym goer, still play masters basketball and coach basketball teams here at Raphael House in-between painting houses and playing bridge.
