Parent, Teacher, Friend Association (PTFA)
The PTFA is ready and waiting for your funding proposals
Our wonderful school community came together last year after a challenging year to put on a School Fair we can all be proud of. Thank you again to each and everyone of you who contributed to the Fair’s success. As a result the Fair made nearly $20,000.00!
The funds raised provide those extra ‘nice to haves’ which enhance our school and make it an extra special place for our tamariki to grow and learn in.
Past funds raised by the Fair have gone towards a wide range of activities and events including:
- a hockey goal for the school turf
- a woodwork area for the Lower School
- outdoor play equipment for the Kindergarten
- two movable classrooms for Class 1 and 2
- supporting the school’s musical strings
- honey bee projects
- uniforms for Kapa Haka
- assistance with the visit of world renowned Eurythmy practitioners
- books gifted to the outgoing Class 12 students
- supporting the school 60th birthday celebrations
- memorials and additions in and around the school grounds
- assistance with various Upper School camps
- restoration of the Eurythmy Room's grand piano.
The Parent, Teachers & Friends Association (PTFA) has two annual funding rounds, so send your funding requests to the PTFA (ptfacommittee@gmail.com) by either:
- February 8, 2021, or
- May 10, 2021.
Each request for funding will need its very own form, which is found in this link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1NHCop7PIBBtGyR4omeUzgMU8MHtGBd-k/view?usp=drivesdk
(note: the PTFA Committee may need to come back to you if you don’t give it enough proposal details and a decision on the proposal maybe deferred until a later funding round).
If you have some great ideas for where the 2020 Fair funds could be allocated, the PTFA would love to hear them, email us! The PTFA reviews each proposal with consideration to our school’s values and to ensure the greatest benefit to our tamariki.
And, remember: all parents, teachers and friends of our school are warmly encouraged to visit or join the PTFA anytime.
