A message from the Board

Thank you to all of you who participated in our consultation with our community regarding the future of the Kindergarten.

Following consideration of the consultation feedback the Board has met and decided that maintaining an early childhood service at Raphael House is the best option for the Steiner education system and community in Wellington. Therefore, the Board has decided to do its utmost to find an alternative early childhood license holder.

To this end, the Board is pursuing conversations with our sister kindergartens in Wellington as a priority and we will enter negotiations with those that indicate interest. Leary Street has already indicated interest and we expect to hear from Thorndon later in the month. If these options don’t bear fruit we will seek expressions of interest via Waekura.

We will update you again, before the end of this term on the progress we are making.
