Deputy Principal, Lower School Coordinator, Across Schools: Maths, Kapahaka, Te Reo

Kia ora e te whānau, ko Irene ahau.

I’ve been part of the Rapaera Kura whānau community for the past 10 years but made the jump across, like quite a few of the kaiako here, to join the teaching team.

I’m currently part of the senior leadership team. But continue to find my other happy places with regular teaching in Class 7 and pangarau-maths teaching and Te Reo/Kapahaka across the Lower and Upper School...and co-managing Raphael House HOCKEY!

Out of school, you’ll often find me driving my tamariki to their different sports/destinations. In between those times, I enjoy reading YA novels, playing hockey, op-shopping, listening to music - especially musicals and checking out the local music/dance/theatre scene.
