Miharo Mahuru Māori
Class 7 were knighted a couple of weeks ago and took up the mantle of being Te Reo Ambassadors during Mahuru.
This role sees them supporting Te Reo activities and kemu being held during lunchtimes. And as well, holding a tuakana-teina connections amongst the Lower School tamariki.
Our tamariki in the Lower School have been assigned a whare ngā tae- a house (Whero, Karaka, Kowhai, Kakariki and Kikorangi) which they can earn house points for by participating in the activities organised for Mahuru Māori.
This has created a real buzz amongst the Lower School as they check on my office window for points updates.
He ātaahua hoki- this has been beautiful to see. It has also meant that I've had to work on my mirror writing!
