Here are some key points you need to know about the Midwinter Festival

  • Thursday 2 July - students and whānau return to school at 4.20pm rain or shine. Please be mindful of parking considerately for our neighbours.

  • 4.30pm share food in your tamariki's LS classroom or US Tirohanga Nui

  • Please bring a named spoon for each member of your whānau and a named bowl / cup for rangatahi / adults (please check if your LS tamaiti has a cup at school)

  • Kai is provided by the community and prepared by Heather and akomanga 9

  • Dishes will be washed and dried by class 11 students in each classroom

  • Wet weather plan to view the lanterns indoors after kai. Details to follow.

  • Songs for the festival for you to practice and join in - Rona, Full flaming fire, Whiti te Marama, Te Aroha, All the earth is sacred, I go with my little lantern

  • View lanterns down the driveway then meet your LS tamariki at the collection point mentioned on the run sheet that will be posted from HERO on Monday 22nd June. Please make your own meeting points with US.
