Introducing Gabrielle

Upper School Art

I teach art in the Upper School, every now and then I get to enjoy the tamariki from the lower school in the art room and sometimes I get to make my own art.

Art has always been my focal point. It keeps me real.

Every day I get to see so many students explore their creative potential in all sorts of different ways. whether it’s as makers, problem solvers or art historians. I’m always impressed with the high level of beauty and art that comes from our students.

We are so lucky at Raphael House to have many creative teachers who bring art to the classroom in their own way.

In our Main Lessons, we have many artistic methods that are embedded into our subjects across all classes in the school.

In the art room I strive to cultivate a learning environment that encourages each student’s ability to think collaboratively and create wonderful compositions, wild experiments, and explore the idea of what if?

I have loads of fun along the way.
