Introducing Geoff

Lower School-Class 7

Ko Geoff Heath toku ingoa

I am currently the Class 7 teacher at Raphael House. I have now been here long enough to have the immense pleasure of watching the first class I taught graduate (which happened at the end of last year). What a wonder system we have where we can see children grow from being shy little cuties into confidence and purposeful young adults!

Before I became a teacher I played and taught the cello, so at Raphael House, taking the Lower school orchestra and managing the Class 3 string programme are little pet projects I love to have on the side.

Speaking of little pet projects, my other little passion at school is looking after the school bees. As part of the celebration of there being 100 years of Steiner schools (about 4 or 5 years ago), the school embarked on the trees and bees project to grow for the next 100 years. The trees are growing strong I believe and most of the time the bees are too. As many of you saw we had a honey harvest for the first time this year which was very sticky and exciting!
