Introducing Louise

Lower School-Class 6

Kia ora I’m Lu

I grew up on a sheep and cattle farm in the Rangitiki with my mother, father and brother. I loved growing up on a farm, and feel incredibly grateful that this was part of my journey.

My teaching career first began as secondary school physical education and health teacher, initially based in Auckland and then the Hawkes Bay. When I moved to Wellington ten years ago, I began working in primary schools, and in 2020 I began with Class 3 at Raphael House. Alongside my teaching career I also ran a small photography and clothing business.

Even though I am no longer teaching PE and Health, it remains a large component of my life, both as a professional and in my personal life. The likes of all year round ocean swimming, road and mountain biking, dancing, walking in nature, and eating yummy healthy food keeps both my mind and body in a place that allows my hauora to flourish.
