Introducing Megan

Upper School English & Humanities

Kia ora koutou.

I have been part of the Steiner whānau since 2008, starting in Johannesburg, South Africa and joining Raphael House in 2019.

Currently, I teach English and Social Sciences in the Upper School.

The Class 12 Projects have always been my favourite part of the Steiner Curriculum, which is why I am delighted with my roles as Class 12 Project Coordinator and Class 12 Kaiarataki.

Introducing Merlin

Upper School Math & Science

My name is Merlin Führhop and I am one half of the dynamic duo that makes up the Upper School Maths department. Apart from Mathematics, I also teach Physics, I am Class 9’s Kaiarataki this year, and I oversee the alternative course programme.

This is my fourth year teaching at Raphael House, and I have been immersed in the Waldorf system for many years before that. I really appreciate that working at a Steiner school gives me the freedom to be really flexible in my teaching.

When I am not teaching I enjoy going for walks to spend time with my two dogs, and I love watching movies and playing games.
