As you will be aware, Redwood School is currently operating under the "Red" setting on the Covid Protection Framework, along with the majority of other public amenities. The Waimakariri Council has informed us that under their current guidelines, they are unable to host our Swimming Sports as it will exceed 100 individuals indoors.

Because of this, our Swimming Sports which was scheduled for Tuesday the 23rd of February at the Kaiapoi Aquatic Center, will be cancelled.

We are currently trying to get clarity around whether the Zone Swimming Event will go ahead later in the year. Redwood School is considering different options to create an opportunity for our competitive swimmers to be selected and swim for Redwood School if the Swimming Zone Event goes ahead. Further communication will be sent out to parents who consider their child/ren to be competitive swimmers at a later date.
