Redwood Way - Positive Behaviour for Learning (PB4L)

Kate Norman —

Our Redwood Way focus this term is BEING RESPECTFUL.

This includes being respectful to ourselves, friends and family and the wider community. It has been very positive to see our students welcome many guests over the past weekend to celebrate Redwood School’s 50th Anniversay. It was fantastic to see our Year 5/6 children leading tours and displaying their Reddie Learner Values.

Manaakitanga - Respect for hosts and kindness to guests.

In our classrooms we have been talking about how we greet, introduce and farewell our guests. You could encourage your child to practise this when they are visiting friends, staying at relatives or going out and about.

Children will learn best if we work together – these are all skills that will set them up to be amazing adults, so it’s worth putting the time into teaching them now.

Exciting News! We have the fabulous new badges for students who reach 30, 60, and 90 leaves in Years 5-6! It is great to see lots of our senior school students already sporting these!

Check out the new badges!
