We have been learning about how to write a memoir poem, using nouns and adjectives.

The PS4 Session

The PS4 session was usual enough.

It had fortnite, rocket league

Battlefield, farming simulator, and even

Fruit Burst ice cream too.

Austen and I did what gamer kids do,

Clicked away on the PS4 controller,

Going up and down the stairs for food,

Battling with our characters,

Building away, blocking shots,

enjoying the July school holidays.

The Holidays

The pool was usual enough.

It had rocks, plants,

steps, paths, and even

hydroslides, which whizzed down all day.

My friend and I did what we usually do,

Flips into the pool,

Zooming down the hydroslides,

Switching between hot pools,

and shivering in the cold air,

enjoying the July school holidays.

The River Mouth

The river mouth was usual enough,

It had water, fishing rods,

Hot fire, burning sticks, and even

wet socks, that we had to wear all day.

The boys and I did what boys normally do,

Casting fishing rods,

Running across the beach,

Cranking up the fire,

and jumping across the sticks,

Celebrating my birthday.
