2024 Community Consultation

Emma Norrish & Nick Gunn —

The Board of Trustees is responsible for setting the strategic goals for the school. As part of our commitment to fostering an inclusive and collaborative learning environment, we are launching a community consultation initiative to gather feedback and input from our school whānau.

Parent and Whānau feedback is important and this will help us to:

  • understand the needs and aspirations of our school whānau, students, staff

  • identify areas for improvement and opportunities for growth within the school.

  • ensure that our strategic direction reflects the collective voice of our school community and can be funded. Our current Charter can be read here.

Next term will share more details on opportunities for whānau to engage with us to help develop our goals and strategic direction for 2024.

Opportunities will include a Māori Whānau hui, opportunities to meet with the principal, senior leaders and the Board and a further consultation on our draft strategic plan.

As a first, step, we would ask that whānau complete this initial survey to gather your feedback on our direction for 2024. This survey is open now and will close Friday 13th October.

This survey will take between 5 and 10 minutes to complete and all questions are optional.

The final question asks whether you are interested in a role on our Board of Trustees. We will offer an information session on the role of the Board of Trustees next term.

Kind Regards

Emma Norrish (Presiding Board Member) and Nick Gunn
