Kea Hub have been focusing on being descriptive in our writing.

Chris Thurlow —

We have integrated technology which the students have found motivating and hilarious! We gave our students a scenario of the consequences of doing something wrong. The consequences can be seen in their photos. Many of the students enjoyed creating their own dilema and seeing what they would look like as an old person. Some think they looked as old as Mr Thurlow!

I knew my mum wouldn't be happy about the energy drink that was hidden in a stack of toilet paper in the hole on top of the heat pump.  I knew she would be especially angry if she found this energy drink hidden.

I couldn't wait to chug this energy drink.  I closed my door waiting to drink this energy bomb.  I popped the lid of this exploding can and started to chug and chug this extraordinary energy drink.

The second this energy drink went down my throat, my throat was about to explode.  I started to feel fuzzy and dizzy, I fell straight down on my bed about to faint.

The next morning I looked into my mirror.  I screamed because my hair and eyebrows were getting greyer every second.  Even hair was growing out of my nostrils.  I started to realise that I was looking like Mr Stackhouse!

I was happily slurping my energy drink until my mother burst through my room.  She looked at me with a shocked face.  She yelled at me and said "give that drink to me right this instance!"  I tried to run out of my room but she blocked me!  She suddenly grinned at me and said "good try missy!"  Then I sat down on my bed and she walked away and out of my room finally!

The next morning I asked if I could go tot he park.  She replied with a simple "yes, but nowhere else".  So I said "Ok".  But ... when I got to the park I was so thirsty that I just had to go to the dairy!  When I got there the first thing that shot to my mind was the new ultimate energy drink!  I obviously just had to get it!  After I drank it, I started to feel dizzy so I went home.

When I got home I stuffed the can to the bottom of the rubbish tin and ran to my room so she wouldn't catch me!  After dinner I brushed my teeth and rushed to bed!

The next morning I woke up and saw my blankets scattered around me!  I looked at my cat and it looked at me back in shock!  I had a sore back and an itchy eye.  I went to look in my mirror.  I gasped in horror.  I NEVER LOOKED SO OLD BEFORE!

I screamed in shock!  What happened?  I wondered if this had to do with the energy drink!  I knew it had matched up with what mum said!  I should have never drank that energy drink!
