As part of the ongoing construction works at Redwood school, demolition of three existing buildings will commence in the new year. Prior to the demolition, asbestos will be removed from some soffit lining and external wall sheeting in Blocks 2 (staffroom), Block 4 (Dental Clinic) and Rooms 7 and 8.

We have engaged a specialist asbestos removal company, licensed by WorkSafe to carry out its safe removal ahead of the demolition.

This work will be carried out from 5th to 8th January 2022.

During the removal process, air monitoring will be undertaken by an asbestos assessor, licensed by WorkSafe, followed by a clearance inspection to ensure all asbestos containing material has been safely removed.

The whole school grounds and buildings will be closed to the public from 5th to 30th January 2022.
