This term Redwood School are focusing on the value ‘Relating Well’. In Team Whakatipu we have been talking about what this looks, sounds and feels like.

We talk about and practise these skills all the time, with a specific focus during our collaborative Discovery time on Friday. We can see that children throughout the school really know and understand our school values and are working hard to consistently demonstrate these. We would appreciate it if you could talk about this value at home too – there are many ways that you can Relate Well outside of school!

Here are some of the ways that we can Relate Well during Discovery…

- If you are playing with something and have lots of toys you could give some to other people – Lily r8

- Sharing toys – Desaiah r8

- You can say “Do you want to play with me?” – Elizabeth r8

- Let other people join in- Jackson r8

- If someone asks you if they can play, you say yes – Nash, r2

- Help people – Lila, r1
