Year 3 & 4 Camp Experiences

Emma Titulaer, Ashley Pearce —

Year three and fours had a great time at Blue Skies Camp last week and are already buzzing about their next camp. Thank you to all the family and whanau that came out to help us, we wouldn't be able to run events like this without your support. Come to assembly at 9:15 on Friday morning to check out our camp photos. Ashley Pearce, Emma Titulaer, Emma Costello and Kate Norman

Children from Hoiho described one memory from camp, using their 5 senses.

- I can taste gross, muddy, green grass. I can see a slippery waterslide with bubbles. I can feel cold air in my face. I can smell gross, muddy water. I can hear people laughing. Lushain

- I can smell dust from under my cabin bed. I can taste my delicious pudding while I was in bed. I can feel the cold air reaching throw the drapes. I can hear banging coming through the walls. I can see Ariaan trying to go to sleep, but failing. Leteisha

- I can feel the solid rock and hard ground. I can smell big blow offs floating through the air. I can hear dads talking. I can see a pitch black room. I can taste toothpaste. Cairo

- I can smell juicy, fresh, lemon dishwashing liquid. I can feel the wind rushing through my skin. I can hear the birds tweeting and the water rustling. I can see people screaming with laughter. Ariaan

- I could smell the disgusting, stinky, smelly pond with green stuff floating on the top. I could taste the cold, fresh wind that makes your mouth dry. I could hear wind rushing as I go down the flying fox. I could feel myself gripping on to the flying fox really tightly and my eyes were watering. I could see the fluffy white clouds, light green grass and the pond with green stuff floating on the top. Jessica

- I can smell warm, fresh air tickling my nose. I can taste soapy, bubbly water. I can feel a rubbing seat on the flying fox. I can hear the bus roaring it's engine. I can see blue skies and fluffy clouds. Jonty D

- I can smell blooming flowers from the green grass. I can taste the crisp wind, drying the wetness in my mouth. I can see the pond with Bruce the crocodile who has no teeth. I can hear baby birds in the tree tops. I can feel the tight harness around me. Jaime H
