With half the year already gone, the PTA are super mindful to make the most of the last half.
Our last meeting we discussed all the events we would like to see happen and our financial goals that need to be achieved.
The school has asked us to support them in the Structured Literacy Program and we have agreed. This, we believe, will really enable our students to excel in their basic word formation skills. Which probably means some 6 year olds will eventually be able to write this newsletter better than I can.
We will no longer be aiming to see the rebound wall being built this year.
What we have said yes to this year:
- supporting the school camp
- school swimming buses
- sand for the sandpit
- art exhibition display boards
- Jump Jam costumes
- end of year function for year 6 students
- Structure Literacy programme
Total to raise it $17,000.
What we plan to do to raise the funds is the school Disco, sell pine cones, entertainment books, continue the promotion of the recycling program, chocolates to be sold, Calendar art, Jewellery art, art night, Christmas Raffle, Christmas night market. Already raised in funds $5000. We anticipate based on previous years we will manage to reach $17,000 promised.
To plan for:
Calendar art and Jewellery art make excellent Christmas or birthday gifts you will receive information for this at the start of Term 3.
Chocolates to sell to friends and family we anticipate you to receive these the second week of Term 3.
Art Exhibition week of the 12th of September.

Christmas Night Market 16th of November. Mark it in your calendar. We hope to really have a great night adding music and more food to the night. More information to come.
