On Thursday 4 April I went to Selwyn Aquatic Centre for swimming centrals. I was really nervous because I had just got back from school camp at Woodend and I was super tired.

I arrived at 8 o’clock. I had to wait a long time before my race which was really bad, it made me more nervous. I finished my first race of freestyle, I came 1st in my heat and made it to the finals! 

When I got marshalled for the finals I was a bit nervous and worried as all the other girl’s times were really fast. I finished my race in 5th place, everyone was so close. 

I got a personal best at 36 seconds! 

I was really happy at the end as I did my best and got top ten.
