As part of the ongoing construction works at Redwood school, we have discovered some soffit lining and external wall sheeting containing asbestos. This has been found in the two blocks being refurbished (Rooms 1-4 and Rooms 15-18).

We have engaged a specialist asbestos removal company, licensed by WorkSafe to carry out its safe removal ahead of the demolition.

This work will be carried out form September 20th to to 24th (Rooms 15-18) and September 27th to October1st (Rooms 1-4)

During the removal process, air monitoring will be undertaken by an asbestos assessor, licensed by WorkSafe, followed by a clearance inspection to ensure all asbestos containing material has been safely removed.
