WILD WONDERFUL CIRCUS SHOW - The Christchurch Circus Trust presents another extraordinary circus show performed by their talented circus students: Amazing acrobatics, ballistic balancing acts and awesome aerials. This year, we'll take you on an adventure around the world to extraordinary environments and their colourful captivating creatures.

In July we’re running a “Have-A-Go” Music session with the KidsFest Campaign. It’s open for ages 6+ and for High School students as well and a great way for kids to try out music to see if they enjoy it and for parents to help their kids explore other hobbies and activities.

This coming winter holidays, Amplify is offering you the chance to learn TWO Instruments in groups of up to 4 people, without having to commit to ongoing or extra lessons. This is perfect for anyone wanting to dip their toes in the music scene or try out a different instrument.

  • Bookings are $25 for 1 hour (30mins per instrument with a short break in-between).
  • Sessions from 9am-5pm, Mon 16th - Fri 20th July 2018.
  • Choose from Guitar, Drums and Piano
  • For ages 6+ (High School students welcome too)
  • Learn beginner and introductory skills and techniques
  • Open to all newbies or existing Amplify students

Te Puaka and Matariki planting - 565 Marshland Rd. Nau mai Tauti mai - Whakapai te Whenua Whakapai te Whanau "Heal the Land, Heal the People"

Welcome old friends and new to our annual dawn/matariki planting. Our beautiful little reserve Kaputahi is a place of healing and nurturing - a wellspring of growth since the past four years of plantings. On the morning of 25 June 2017 we will host two plantings to honour and celebrate Te Puaka and Matariki rising otherwise known as the Maori New Year!!!.

For the early risers - please arrive early so we can break the soil from 6.30am - 7.30am for an hour. Break-fast will be at 8am-9am back at the Council Rangers office near the Groynes.

A second planting will kick off at 10am same site. You are welcome to bring kai for a shared meal at12.30pm. We will have the BBQ going and provide sausage sizzle.
