Sandra graduated from the Chch College of Education with a Diploma of Teaching in 1993. She taught juniors at Henderson Valley School, Auckland until her son Anaru was born. The family returned to Christchurch in 1998. Having originally had a teaching practice at Redwood School in 1991, Sandra returned as a part-time teacher in 2004 when her daughter Leilani started here at school. In 2007 her role changed to school librarian and has continued to this day whilst learning lots about children’s literature. Sandra is married to Des and loves books and reading (of course), cooking/baking, biking, spending time in the outdoors and watching Anaru play football.
