Samoan Language Week was celebrated from Sunday 28 May until Saturday 3 June this year.

In the library we focussed on Samoan food and the Samoan names of popular food dishes. 

Mrs Matai brought in a taro for the children to look, touch and feel how heavy is was. 

Did you know that it takes 7-12 months before taro is ready to harvest? (depending on variety).
