On the 5th of May, the Redwood Rocketeers had their first Netball game of the year for school. We versed St Margaret's School at the Hagley courts.

When we arrived, we all started warming up. We did running, passing the ball, shooting, and lunges. All the warming up made us get really puffed.

We all felt really nervous because when we saw their team, there were a couple of really tall individuals.

In the first quarter, we were able to score a number of goals, but in the second quarter, the other team began doing really well. After halftime, Lily had got one goal, Amelia had got two goals, and Asaria had got one, and Paige was doing really well at screaming at us to get in the goal circle.

This year is the first for some of the Netballers in our team. Even though they are new, they all did really well.

We had great teamwork, passing the ball to Courtney. Since she is deaf, she can’t hear us calling her name. We sometimes had to wave our hands in the air to get her attention.

In the end quarter, our team wasn't doing so well. We were losing 2-3. Luckily, we had Asaria and Lily on attack, and together they both scored 2 goals to make us get up to 4 goals. When it was almost time, we got one more goal like 10 seconds before the refs blew the whistle.

Our very end score was 3-5, to us winning the first game of the year.
