We have many recycling initiatives here at Redwood School, which not only help the environment, but also raise funds.

Aluminium Can Cage - this is by the bike stands.  Count up how many cans you have collected, register the child's name, room and number of cans with the office, then drop them into the cage.  Help clean up our community - you'd be surprised how many cans are lying on the side of the road.  Perhaps you could take a bag and some gloves on your walk?

TerraCycle initiatives - Bins in the office.

Glad products - Have your Glad bags stopped sealing?  Do they have a hole in the bottom?  Have your Glad containers split?   Also any outer packing, cardboard tubes, boxes, etc. Don't put them in your rubbish bin at home, bring them to school and place these in the green bin.

Coffee Capsules -  L'Or, Maccona and Nescafe Dolce Gusto coffee capsules accepted.  Place them in the black bin.

Oral Care waste - ANY BRAND - Toothpaste tubes and packaging, dental floss containers and packaging, interdental brushes and packaging, toothbrushes and packaging. These go into the blue bin. Help us win with the Colgate Community Garden Challenge.

Writing Instruments - Biros, felt pens, whiteboard markers, vivid markers, mechanical pencils, correction liquid bottles, correction tape dispensers.  Bring to school all those writing instruments which no longer work.  We can recycle them!  A new initiative introduced by Bic and Terracycle.  Place any items in the white bin.
