Pukeko Hub News

Emma Costello —

We have had a exciting start to the term in Pukeko Hub with our annual Book Week being held last week. This was a huge success and on Tuesday it was great to see all the tamariki and teachers getting into the spirit- dressing up as their favourite book character!

As part of the book week celebration, the tamariki got the opportunity to have different teachers read their favourite books to them, come to school at night for bedtime stories and create a wish list of books!

With Athletics Day approaching, we have also been busy practicing our athletic skills. We wish everyone the best of luck and hope you enjoy the day! A quote for parents to remember……

“It is important to prepare young athletes in their sporting future, not just the next competition!”

The Weet-Bix Kids Tryathlon is coming soon to Christchurch again at Jellie Park! Entries are now open to anyone aged 7-5 years, no matter what your fitness level. You can either sign up as an individual, or with a friend in a team of two. In the morning of the event, there will be a Redwood School tent where you can come and hang out!

If we get 15 tamariki registered for this event, we go into a prize draw with some amazing prizes to be won!!

So give it a go and come and see Miss Costello for more information!!
