Te Reo Māori and Kapa Haka Performance Group Lessons

Lynda Selwood —

Weekly, Wednesday mornings

Kia ora whānau, kia ora tamariki,

Would your child like to learn Te Reo Māori? Would your child like to be a part of our Redwood Kapa Haka Performance Group? This is an opportunity for your child to benefit from two great learning opportunities and represent our school at cultural performances.

We are offering Te Reo Māori lessons for our tamariki again at school with Debbie Lewis, commencing on Wednesday 13 February 2019. Te Reo Māori lessons are available for Year 2 – 6 learners.

Kapa Haka classes, will take place on Wednesdays. The Kapa Haka Performance groups will also have practices on Wednesdays, the Seniors with Whaea Debby and Matua Wiremu, and the Juniors with Whaea Wiani. The Kapa Haka groups will perform through the year, including the Christchurch Cultural Festival and our Community of Learning cultural event.

If you would like your child to take part in Te Reo Māori lessons or be a part of either the Junior or Senior Kapa Haka Performance group, please complete the form your child brought home and return it to the office by Friday 21 February.

Ngā mihi nui
