"A Night at the Museum"

Pauline Prescott —

Reflections from tamariki

It’s showtime! At night time just before bed I am going to the production. Our dance is "Rock Around the Clock”. The moves are funny feet, the hand jive, Elvis and the twist. I love my costume because I look good it in. When the character Clara comes in with Ash, the gem glows orange.”  By Carys Room 8

Yay! Tonight is the big night. My favourite dance is the dinosaur dance. My dance is Rock around the Clock. My Dad is coming tonight and my Mum is coming tomorrow night. The little five year olds are doing a penguin dance. Its is such a cute and cool dance. Today a preschool is coming to watch.  By Lily W, Room 8

Last week Kea Hub performed at the Redwood School Production, called A Night at the Museum.

Special thanks to all the people who helped get the costumes ready and parents for helping with the face paint. We also want to thank Mr Thurlow for getting all the props ready and children painting all the mummies and the sarcophagus! Miss Muir was the most help by wrapping up the mummy, making all the outfits handmade and making up the dance!

We know that everyone was nervous,(especially the people who didn’t want to do it) but everyone did a wonderful job! Everyone looked AMAZING!! I’m sure that everyone that watched went home with a big happy, proud smile on their face!😀👍 We had so much fun and can’t wait to do it again.

That Was The Production

Remember the super duper yummy chocolate chip cookies?

Remember when we got sooooo messy making the props?

That was the production.

Remember when the sky was pitch black?

Remember when Rudolf got stuffed and tied onto the branch?

That was the production.

Remember how itchy the sacks were?

Do you remember the funny and silly animals we watched?

That was the production.

Remember when we put on our costumes for the first time?

Remember when we stood in the freezing cold?

That was the production.

Remember when we first went on the stage, I was so excited.

Remember when we stuffed Rudolf and put him on a stick?

That was the production.

Remember when we did the dance for the first time?

Do you remember when we pretended to paint cave paintings and sharpen spears.

That was the production.

Remember the yummy, crunchy biscuits we had after the performance?

Remember when some of our costumes fell off?

That was the production.

Remember that super funny animal show we watched before we performed?

Remember being frozen on stage, it was hard.

That was the production.

Remember the hairspray not working on me?

Do you remember dressing up in our itchy sacks?

That was the production.
