On Tuesday 3rd December we went to the Belfast Kaiapoi Rotary to present our speech in the clubrooms.

We were nervous and excited at the same time! You could cut the tension with a knife. After winning the school competition, we were both in high spirits. Leon’s speech was about spending less time on our devices, and Bryn’s speech was about why football is better than rugby! We both presented our speeches well and the hard work paid off! We both got first place and each received a $60 voucher for Whitcoulls.

We are both very proud of ourselves!

There were about 6 other schools in the competition. We also got certificates for making it through to the finals. We really enjoyed ourselves! There was some VERY tough competition, but we brought it home and had a clean sweep for Redwood Primary!

We would like to thank our wonderful teacher Miss Muir and our families for their support on the night.
