The Arts - Jump Jam and Choir

Kate Norman —

Term Four has been a very busy and successful time for The Arts at Redwood.

On November 2nd our Junior and Senior Jump Jam teams competed at the Regional Jump Jam Competition. This involved 28 children from Redwood. We were extremely proud of the children's persistence and work ethic throughout the year and their performance and attitude on the day.

Our Senior Jump Jam team were awarded 3rd place, Distinction in Technical Execution, Excellence in Creativity, Merit in Costumes and Outstanding Sportsmanship. Our Junior Jump Jam team was awarded 4th place and Merit in Costumes. A big thank you to our Jump Jam coaches for all the work and time you have put into our teams: Allyce Muir, Emma Titulaer, Kirsty Fletcher, Maddie Stevenson and Charlotte Spencer.

On November 5th the Redwood School Choir attended and performed at the Kids For Kids Concert, 'Big Aroha' at the Horncastle Arena. They sung alongside Jackie Clarke, Nathan King and 1000 other students from around Canterbury. The children learned 18 songs and actions for the songs. It was an incredible night of entertainment. A huge thank you to Emma Titulaer and Kirsty Fletcher, our two Choir Teachers, for all the time you have put into choir. Well done to all tamariki and kaiako involved!https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=20&v=xPlAKvd8YIY&feature=emb_logo
