Whakatipu Teacher | New Entrant/ Year One

Last year, we appointed Brooke Bigwood to a teaching position in the Whakatipu Team in 2024. Brooke will cover Maddie Stevenson's maternity leave for the first half of the year. We are really excited about this appointment.

Brooke graduated with a Bachelor of Teaching and Learning (Primary) from the University of Canterbury in 2023. She grew up in Hamilton and moved to Christchurch to begin her teaching journey. Brooke's interest in education stems from her experience as a swim coach during high school. 

Brooke enjoys spending time with family and friends as well as staying active. Outside of school, she can be seen tramping, playing squash or swimming.
