In its second year, the Poetry Read Aloud Competition was held in our library on Thursday 25 August. We had 44 participants (twice as many as last year).

The children chose a poem they wanted to read and performed it in front of the two judges.

For some it was not easy, but they showed perseverance. I was impressed that so many children “gave it a go”.

A big thank you to Karen from Redwood Public Library who came as one of the judges.
