Nevertheless, the students’ enthusiasm was not dampened, and students enjoyed dressing in house colours and competing.

Year 3-6 took part in a range of athletic events. This included the traditional high jump, shot put, discus and sprinting. Sprinkle fun events such as sack races, egg & spoon races and dodgeball.

Congratulations to all of our students who tried so hard in each event. Many of our students surprised themselves with their efforts in both track and field events. We certainly have students with outstanding athletic ability that I am sure would have shone at our Zone event. Another casualty of covid!

A special thanks to Francis and Mr Wilson in turning the back field into an amazing Athletics field. Looking forward to next year’s Redwood school athletics with parents and whanau.
