It has been a great start to the year with classrooms buzzing. We have a great staff this year. A special thanks to all parents/whanau, tamariki and kaiako/kaiawhina/staff for making new families and staff welcome.

Thanks to the small group of parents who came along to our powhiri for new whanau. It was great to have this formal welcome for new children, families and staff and then to share kai and a cuppa afterwards.

It was also encouraging to see so many people at our swimming sports at Kaiapoi, both as spectators and helpers. This was a great day. Do you take your children swimming? We are noticing as a school a real drop in confidence in our children in the water. It is important that as a family you get your children into the water to develop greater confidence and skill.
