Writing to Seniors

Patience H —

Room 16 have been writing letters to residents at our local rest homes

Dear Madam/Sir

Merry Christmas! My name is Patience and I love animals. I go to Redwood Primary School and I am in Room 16. I am really excited for Christmas, it is a few weeks away! My favourite part is opening presents it’s such a surprise! You never know what you could get. What is your favourite part of Christmas?

My favourite subject would be lunchtime! Sadly that is not a subject so it would have to be reading. I like reading because there are different activities to do like poetry, epic books and many others.

I have other highlights this year like the Mash Tough Run. The Mash Tough Run is where you run through muddy obstacles, water, long walks and many more. I enjoyed it and hope to do it next year!

We also went to Woodend Camp. I liked archery because I got a bullseye and the waterslide because you could do races! I loved it! I wonder what activities will be at our next camp, next year.

I also liked attending to all the discos! I loved dancing with my friends and being silly, I spent some of my money on popcorn and lollies. I would also watched the flashing lights that are scattered across the roof.

At Christmas morning I have an alarm clock in my head that wakes me up automatically at 5:00, so I can wake the adults up if they are not already awake! I am definitely an expert at that! After, we get the presents and open them. Of course you could never forget about the stockings that are full of lollies! Then it is more of a normal chores day, after that we play with our toys while the adults are making lunch. Christmas lunch is normally roasted chicken but this year we are having a barbeque. Delicious! My Auntie and Uncle will be there too!

I am hoping to get some headphones because my other one is broken I would also like some art supplies for drawing and colouring. I am not into much toys anymore but I would like to get some more lego!

I hope that you have a happy Christmas and with all the wishes you wish to come true on the magical New Year's Day!
