School Closing 12.30pm Tuesday 26 June

NZEI members are to attend a Paid Union Meeting to discuss the government’s review of the way our education system is funded, employment terms and conditions, and other important education issues. With the change of government and their focus, there is a lot of further change going on at this time.

The Paid Union Meeting for our Redwood staff is Tuesday 26 June 2018, at Horncastle Arena.

 We request that you collect your tamariki from school at 12.30pm on that day. Redwood School will remain open with significantly reduced staff on that afternoon from 12.30pm so that tamariki who cannot be picked up can be supervised. Please contact me on principal@redwoodprimary.school.nz if you are unable to collect your child at 12.30pm on that day.

We really appreciate your assistance with this. A paid union meeting during school hours is not a common occurrence but, as you will be aware, a number of issues and changes have now arisen that are of great significance for our tamariki, their learning and their future.
