Neighbourhood Week 2018-19 – Let’s Get Together This Summer

Neighbourhood Week is now all summer long from 27 October 2018 to 31 March 2019. Are you wanting to organise a Neighbourhood gathering this summer? Neighbourhood week is about bringing people closer together, getting to know the people who live close to you and celebrating the unique and diverse mix of each neighbourhood. So why not organise a local gathering to get to know your neighbours, community, family group, or sports team!

Applications are open until 7 September at 5pm. Find out more by heading to www.ccc.govt.nz/GetTogether.

CNC Project Updates

The Grimseys Road/QEII Drive intersection will close again on Monday 3rd September until the end of the year. This will allow us to finish the work on this intersection and open it when we move traffic over to the north side of QEII Drive. We will make sure CCC has Prestons Road open again before we make this change - find more info in the attached update.

As part of the CNC project the Waimakariri Motorway Bridge is being widened and a clip-on cycleway added. This work will start at the end of August. Find out more about this part of our project or traffic management on the bridge in the attached newsletter or visit this link. https://www.nzta.govt.nz/assets/projects/christchurch-northern-corridor/CNC-Waimakariri-Bridge-project-overview-20180813.pdf
