The Environment Committee

Kate Stedman, Year 13 —

The Environment committee had a fantastic run this year that started with getting the school involved in volunteer activities with the Christchurch City Council and Trees for Canterbury and ended the year with their mural being put up above the staff room entrance just in time for term 4.

Special thanks to Mr Roland, Mr Scott, Ms Clarke, Mr Saunders, Mrs Ross, Mr Grubb, Mr Murray (matua), Mr Paewai, and Mrs Jermy for helping us out by helping, driving and/or participating in our planting days.

And of course we are very thankful to all the staff and students who volunteered to have sponges thrown at them in the name of fun for Friday Fair, which was Environment’s event for Happy Daze week.

We hope that RHS students of 2018 and beyond will continue getting involved with Environment’s events and activities, and help us make the school a cleaner, greener place.
