Level 2 Physics flight

Christiana O'Connor (12NP) —

A group of 24 students from the level two physics classes went to the Canterbury Aero Club in the afternoon on Tuesday the 25th of October for an enjoyable educational flight over Christchurch.

In small groups of two or three students we took off in the airplanes to experience the wonders of the plane flying in the air with the amazing pilots explaining how it all worked as we went along.

During the flight the pilots showed us what happens to the plane when it begins to stall and how it feels to turn very sharply, as well as the weightlessness you feel when the plane is descending and also the feeling of double your weight when the plane is pulling up in the air.

Overall the physics flight was awesome and hope that the year eleven enjoy themselves next year on this trip.
