Our very own Amie Blackwell and a former student, Monica Koster, entered the 2022 Zonta Female Art awards at the end of last year.

Both artists were chosen as finalists for their work. Monica, who is currently studying Fine Arts at the University of Canterbury, and who submitted a stunning painting, was selected for the Youth Award.

Amie's artwork is a video installation created for a self-portrait series of photographs that she took each day during lockdown last year and posted daily to Instagram.

Amie and Monica were chosen as finalists and had their works exhibited in the Ashburton Art Gallery for the 2021 Zonta Female Art Exhibition.
