Riccarton International

Frances Couling —

It has been a very busy start to term three! We welcomed 23 new students, and with a new and improved international orientation programme, things got off to a great start.

We’re seeing an increased number of short term students here in term three because of the northern hemisphere summer holidays. It’s been encouraging to see a few of these students choosing to extend their time in New Zealand because they’ve been having so much fun!

The International Ski and Snowboard club have been enjoying the best season we’ve seen for a few years. Some of our students from China and Taiwan who went up to Porters last week had never seen the snow before!

In the second half of 2017 the international department is undertaking recruitment activities in Thailand and Europe in order to increase the diversity amongst our international student cohort.
