Principal’s Comment

Neil Haywood —

As the final term has drawn to a close for our Senior School, we have had a number of opportunities to reflect upon, and celebrated many outstanding successes experienced by our students.

Our Winter Sports Assembly acknowledged a large number who have impressed in a variety of disciplines and equally those who have given service to the school in their role as coaches, managers, umpires and referees.

We have celebrated academic success with our Senior Prizegiving. Once again, my congratulations to all of the recipients - your hard work deserves the recognition.

We could not celebrate success of any kind without also recognising the support and guidance of both our staff and students’ families who encourage our young men and women to be better than before and who reinforce our Riccarton Way values of commitment, honesty, respect and excellence.

I would like to wish our Years 11, 12 and 13 students well for their NCEA external exams but the year is not quite over yet. It will be the level of commitment over the next few weeks which will determine the degree of success. Remember, academic success opens doors to greater things!
